Outlander Season 7, Episode 10 review: Disaster strikes (again!) as Claire learns gut-wrenching news
Outlander is only two episodes into the second half of its seventh season and chaos is already ensuing, with no signs of stopping. As we saw in the premiere, the story is picking up rapidly. We've already watched the Frasers return to Scotland and then promptly after watched Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Young Ian (John Bell) leave for America to help Lord John Grey's (David Berry) nephew.
If you are a long-time fan of Outlander, you know good things can never come from Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire separating. It never sits well with me, and this week's episode proves exactly why that feeling is warranted.
A lot takes place in "Brotherly Love." It's filled with moments that remind me that this series is inching closer to its end and thus packing in all the punches it can along the way.
Read ahead for our review of "Brotherly Love", and...

Can you believe it’s been over a decade since Spartacus first brought its blood-soaked, action-packed drama to our screens? Back in 2010, this hit show redefined the historical epics with its unapologetic intense storytelling and raw actions. Though Gladiator and Rome did lay the groundwork for sword-and-sandal greatness, Spartacus intensified the level, delivering four seasons of unforgettable action.
Of course, it wasn’t just the on-screen drama that had us hooked to our screens, behind the scenes, the heartbreaking loss of Andy Whitfield after Season 1 broke our hearts. But the series persevered, with Liam McIntyre stepping in to finish this epic saga of the Thracian rebel leader.
A still from Spartacus (Credits- Starz)
And the legacy of the legendary storyline has now returned once again with the upcoming spinoff, Spartacus: House of Ashur. Reportedly, Starz is revisiting the story but with an added twist, what if Ashur, the scheming underdog...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Outlander, Season 7, Episode 10, “Brotherly Love.”] Outlander made way for two major returns in its latest episode, “Brotherly Love,” as Lotte Verbeek and Graham McTavish reprised their roles as Geillis Duncan and Dougal MacKenzie. But while fans may have been clued into their latest appearance, the context around it became clear as this installment unfolded. As fans were teased in the previous episode, Roger (Richard Rankin) was searching for his son Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller) and was directed towards Geillis. It turns out that there have been whisperings in the village about a “fairy man” who he thinks could be Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton). Sending out for the men who crossed paths with this “fairy man” a group of Highlanders come knocking on Geillis’s door, among them is Jamie’s (Sam Heughan) uncle, and Roger’s ancestor, Dougal. But instead of being familiar with one another, it turns out that this...

Eager to find his son Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller), Roger seeks answers about a “fairy man” he believes is Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton) who has been spotted in the area, and while Geillis doesn’t have all of the answers, there’s a promising lead from an unexpected source that ends up being Dougal MacKenzie (Graham McTavish). As Roger tries to comprehend the situation unfolding in front of his eyes, Buck is entirely unaware that they’re witnessing his parents’ first meeting. George R.R. Martin has had enough of the modifications done in House of the Dragon that he penned a now-deleted blog post containing his own criticisms. Now, it seems like another inaccurate detail will make its way into Season 3 that might anger the author even more.

One of Martin’s biggest concerns in the series is the absence of important characters from the very start. Now, a recent interview with a former cast member hinted at his possible return which might only mess up the storyline.

Netflix's monster-hunting fantasy show The Witcher is in the middle of a very interesting transition. The shows third season marked the final time that actor Henry Cavill will play lead character Geralt of Rivia; when The Witcher returns for season 4, it'll be Liam Hemsworth under the white wig. We're at a point in Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher books where the narrative shifts focus away from Geralt and centers Princess Ciri (Freya Allan) for the back half of the saga as some very weird, multiversal meta elements rise to the forefront. It'll be very curious to see how fans react to these changes when The Witcher season 4 drops on Netflix.

Right now we're in the long night between new seasons of HBO's Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon. The show's second season wrapped up this past summer with a finale that set the stage for several big events in the Targaryen civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons, with a Triarchy fleet setting sail for the Gullet to break Corlys Velaryon's blockade on King's Landing and armies on the move in the Riverlands and the Reach. When House of the Dragon returns for season 3, it'll kick off in spectacular fashion.
It will also include at least one familiar face who sat out season 2: Ser Harrold Westerling, the former Lord Commander of the Kingsguard played by Outlander star Graham McTavish. In George R.R. Outlander fans have one-and-a-half seasons of their favorite show left before it ends forever. The second half of season 7 premieres next month, while the eighth and final season will be along sometime after that.

Netflix recently revealed our first official look at Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia with a brief teaser promo for season 4 of The Witcher, but some new set photos give us arguably our best look yet at the actor fully suited-up as the titular monster hunter.

If you are a fan of the fantasy genre then you must be aware of the sub-genre, dark fantasy which uses a blend of horror, dark themes, and supernatural elements. Dark Fantasy has become one of the most popular genres in television after the release of shows like Game of Thrones, which at one point was one of the best shows ever made. Outlander has long been one of Starz's flagship shows, and right now it's in the midst of a particular high point. Thanks to the pandemic, Outlander's sixth season had a truncated run of only eight episodes. That made a lot of fans sad back in 2022, but the show is in the middle of making up for it with a supersized seventh season, which will run for 16 episodes. The first half of the season premiered last summer, with the next batch due to drop just a few months from now. Come November, we'll all be going back to Frasier's Ridge!
And Starz is ready to get us plenty excited for it. The network has released over two dozen new images, featuring everyone from time-traveling lovers Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) to their extended family and even some unexpected faces from the past.

“The Witcher” Season 4 Gets First Look
The journey continues. Netflix has released the first-look images for its upcoming fourth season of “The Witcher,” with Liam Hemsworth now in the starring role.
Hemsworth takes over as Geralt of Rivia from Henry Cavill, who announced he would be stepping down after the show’s third season, which was released on the streamer in two parts last summer.
Per the official description, the fourth season will follow Geralt, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan) as they “are faced with traversing the war-ravaged Continent and its many demons apart from each other. If they can embrace and lead the groups of misfits they find themselves in, they have a chance of surviving the baptism of fire and finding one another again.”
