After a season in primetime on Sunday nights, HBO has returned High Maintenance to late nights on Friday nights where the ratings are likely to be lower. Should that be legal? Will High Maintenance be cancelled or renewed for season five? Stay tuned.

Robert Pattinson as Tyler Hawkins in Remember Me (top); Pattinson, Chris McKinney, Chris Cooper (bottom) Robert Pattinson’s Remember Me has likely crossed — or at least is quite near — the $55m mark worldwide. In the United States and Canada, Allen Coulter’s romantic melodrama starring Pattinson, Lost’s Emilie de Ravin, and Pierce Brosnan, has grossed $19.025m to date. Overseas, box-office figures found at Box Office Mojo add up to $33.139m. Total: 52,164m. However, as I’ve mentioned in a previous post about Remember Me’s international box-office performance, Box Office Mojo’s figures for foreign countries are incomplete. Less than half the countries listed have fully updated box-office totals (Sunday, May 2), while key markets such as Brazil, Australia, Russia, and [...]...

Stoick, Gobber How to Train Your Dragon (top); Cheshire Cat Alice in Wonderland (middle); Robert Pattinson, Chris McKinney, Chris Cooper Remember Me (bottom) How to Train Your Dragon, featuring the voices of Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, and America Ferrera, grossed $4.814 million at the North American box office on Monday, as per Box Office Mojo. The film’s per screen average was $1,187. At #2, Alice in Wonderland collected $1.978 million. If things remain as they are, Tim Burton’s fantasy adventure will probably cross the $300 million mark on Thursday — four days later than I’d predicted late last week. The film stars Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Anne Hathaway. Hot Tub Time Machine, starring John Cusack was [...]...

Robert Pattinson, Chris McKinney, Chris Cooper in Remember Me Robert Pattinson’s Remember Me Reviews Robert Pattinson’s Remember Me: Below are a few more review snippets. "… [T]he movie contains a plot twist so stunning, yet so stunningly obvious, that it functions like a kind of ticking time bomb in the corner of the screen. After the first hint of what’s coming — which crops up less than 10 minutes into the movie and then doesn’t let up — the foreshadowing becomes so distracting that, by the time the darn thing goes off, there’s only a sense of relief." Michael O’Sullivan in the Washington Post "As a shameless contraption of ridiculously sad things befalling attractive people, the [...]...

First off, has anyone heard of the Terasem Movement? Because I can't decide if it's a real thing, or just part of an insanely elaborate viral marketing campaign for this new cyberpunk themed scifi indie. If it is indeed a real group of scientists who are trying to bring about the immortality of the human race by using either nanotechnology, cybernetics or by digitizing all of our states of being and blasting them into space in order that we should live in peace for eternity among the cosmos then I truly salute them. Good luck to you gentlemen.
