Graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, she was a renowned beauty of her day who acted primarily on the stage. Made her debut in 1910 at the Playhouse and, in 1913 in New York, appeared as leading lady in 'Grumpy'. Accompanied Lunt & Fontanne in 'O Mistress Mine' in 1946 and played Mrs. Higgins in 'My Fair Lady' for two seasons during the 1950's.
