- Glen Matlock was born on August 27, 1956 in Paddington, London, England, UK. He is an actor and composer, known for The A-Team (2010), Sid and Nancy (1986) and Homefront (2013).
- Matlock was asked, grudgingly, to return to the Pistols during the 1977 sessions for "Never Mind the Bollocks - Here's the Sex Pistols" to fill in for Sid Vicious, who seems not to have known even the rudiments of the bass guitar, and was chosen by MacLaren mostly for his looks and attitude. In consequence, on nearly all the tracks of the album, it is Matlock who provides the bass.
- He was not liked by the other members of the Pistols. He was more mature than them, more musically competent, was a fan of the Beatles, and was basically viewed as not fitting in with the band in any manner. Although he was at first able to collaborate with Rotten and the others in songwriting, the relationship soon deteriorated.
- Will join a re-formed Sex Pistols in London for Bob Geldof's Live 8 charity concert.
- Original bassist for the Sex Pistols but was fired in favor of the late Sid Vicious.
