Owns the desk that was used as a prop by Carl Reiner on The Dick Van Dyke Show.

Had a private tutor while filming of The Dick Van Dyke Show was in progress, even skipped a grade, then returned to a conventional classroom once filming had wrapped for the season. Says it was difficult for him to relate to other children after having spent so much time around adults.

He and former co-star Rose Marie have the same birthday, August 15 (though not, obviously, the same year).

Although not a singer as such, he did have a cute voice, and sang the song "Little Drummer Boy" on the Dec. 18, 1963 "Dick Van Dyke Show" Christmas episode, "The Alan Brady Show Presents.".
