She became a model at age 5 and was in demand as a cover girl with New York artists and photographers.

Connie Marshall was a descendant of the 4th (fourth) Chief Justice of the United States (from 1801 to 1835), John Marshall.

Her husband, Frank Geldert, was a Marine Corps jet pilot. While expecting their first child, Marshall was diagnosed with polio. After a short time on a respirator, she recovered and had a baby daughter. However, Marshall was left with a slight limp.
