As an award-winning writer, producer and director, Joel Marsden has created feature film, documentary, television and commercial projects in every region of the planet. In his role as Executive Producer for NASA TV UHD, Marsden supervised the construction and programming of the world's first 24/7, UHD/HDR linear streaming service, as well as the creation of eight original new series that showcase all aspects of the NASA space program in stunning 4K resolution. Marsden wrote, produced and directed the feature documentary "World Vote Now" that chronicles the construction of the first global democratic system and was shot on location in 26 countries, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kashmir, Iran, Egypt, Venezuela, Siberia and Borneo. "World Vote Now" won in the Democracy Video Challenge, a global competition sponsored by the U.S. State Department. Marsden wrote, produced and directed the feature film "Ill-Gotten Gains" starring Academy Award Nominee Djimon Hounsou and jazz legend Eartha Kitt. The film explores an uprising aboard an illegal American Slave Ship in 1869 and was released theatrically.
