Biography

She was raised in Lagos, Nigeria, and spent her adolescence in London, Rome, New York City and Washington, DC.

Graduated from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts (double major in Classics and Philosophy. During her visit to her alma mater, the school had a viewing of her film The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love (1995).

MFA in filmmaking from NYU Graduate School.
