- He mostly played cameos in movies.

- An important element of his career was playing at the Television Theatre, with which he staged 40 performances from 1958 to 1998.
- He was also a dubbing actor - his last performance was the voiceover in the Polish version of the film "Life of Pi", earlier he participated in recording the dubbing for the Polish version of "Twelve Angry People".
- He appeared in many important films, such as Andrzej Wajda's Kanal, where he played Lieutenant Gustaw, or Krzysztof Kieslowski's Short Film About Killing.
- Maciejewski was also the longest-lived Polish actor - he lived 1 year longer than the previous record holder actress Danuta Szaflarska and two years longer than actress Irena Renard.
- He was also associated with the Polish Radio Theatre, where he worked for over 50 years - from 1951 to 2003.
