Bill Loud was born on 22 January 1921 in Eugene, Oregon, USA. He was married to Carol Lee Sutherland and Patricia Loud. He died on 26 July 2018 in Santa Barbara, California, USA.
During WWII, he was a PT boat commander and participated in the D-Day invasion in 1944. He also served in the Korean War and was awarded the Bronze Star. He graduated from the University of Oregon.
