- In 1977, Santo Loquasto and Theoni V. Aldredge tied for the Tony Award for Costume Design. Santo won for "The Cherry Orchard" and Theoni won for "Annie". Theirs was the only tie in this category and the sixth of ten ties overall in Tony history.
