His brother Addison Owen Randall ( billed as Jack Randall) was also a promising Western star, but his career was tragically cut short when the horse he was riding smashed him against a tree during a chase scene, killing him.
On 8/15/87 he was honored with a Golden Boot Award, just
months before his death. The award was presented to him by his friend
and fellow actor, Gene Autry.
