- Father of Rosalind Lloyd.
- He was a cinema manager at 16 then became a publicist with Rank before spending 9 years as a public relations operative with Saltzman and Broccoli.
- Began as assistant manager at the ABC cinema in 1940's Walsall before becoming a film publicist, and, later, an independent producer and director.
- Was a mentor to film producer Jonathan Sothcott, who produced a documentary about Lloyd entitled The Last of The Gentleman Producers. At Lloyd's memorial service Sothcott gave a eulogy with the same title. They worked together on the DVD releases of Lloyd's films The Wild Geese and Who Dares Wins, recording audio commentary tracks along with John Glen, Roger Moore and Ian Sharp.
