- Has been puppeteering since he was 3 years old.
- Performed two live shows with the cast of Blue's Room at Toys R Us in Times Square on the morning of September 17, 2004 to promote a Blue's Room-themed toy display.
- An original Broadway cast member in the Tony-award winning musical, Avenue Q. Peter was an ensemble member, puppet captain and understudy for all the male roles in the show; Nicky/Trekkie Monster/Bad Idea Bear #1, Brian, and Princeton/Rod. (July 2003)
- Has appeared on 31 seasons on the long-running children's series Seseme Street and continues to be one of the core Sesame Muppet Performers.
- On April 30, 2005 performed with fellow puppeteer Tyler Bunch at the Family Festival Street Fair at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.
- He has created & led workshops in television puppetry in Germany, China, Mexico, Jordan, New Zealand and the United States.
- Graduated from the University of Georgia with a BA in psychology.
- On October 8, 2002 appeared with his character Theo Lion from "Between the Lions" before the House Education Reform Subcommittee to explain the importance of supporting literacy programs. James Earl Jones was also in attendance.
