Susie Lindeman is an award-winning English/Australian actress, born at an RAAF base at Point Cook, and schooled in Sydney and Singapore. She began her career in Australia with leading roles on screen: ABC mini-series Palace Of Dreams, Melba, Robbery Under Arms,(Feature film and 6 part mini-series) and on stage: (STC) at the Sydney Opera House in Six Characters In Search Of An Author. Her UK breakthrough role was the title role in the award-winning Catherine, a Thames TV film. She played opposite Michael Gambon in an episode of Maigret, and played Dolly, wife to James Wilby's Charles, in Merchant Ivory's BAFTA and Academy Award-winning Howards End (1992). The daughter of Captain George Lindeman (Qantas) and Jill Lindeman, an opera singer- she has also filmed and appeared onstage in France and is cast to star in the film adaptation of France's greatest screenwriter, Jean-Claude Carriere's play "Aide-Memoire". She originated the role of Vivien Leigh in two stage plays: Happy As Larry and Viv, and Letter to Larry- which had its world premiere in 2013 and its seasons continue. She has performed in 4 West End productions, including opposite Rex Harrison (an early co-star of Vivien Leigh) and Penelope Wilton, when directed by Karel Reisz. More recent screen roles include Pixie, in Top Of the Lake2 China Girl, directed by Jane Campion and recent stage: Awkward Dancing, Prevail.
