Sari Lilliestierna

Sari Lilliestierna was born in Hausjärvi, Finland in 1954. In the late
70s she moved to Stocholm, Sweden, where she worked as a Kindergaten
teacher. She joined in a Finnish-speaking amateur theater and got
interested in acting. Later she was found by a Swedish film director
John Olsson, who casted her as a leading star in his film Jonny Roova
(1985). That was Lilliestierna's breakthrough. After that she played in
numerous of Swedish films, TV-series and theater productions. In the
late 80s she moved back to her homeland, Finland, where she continued
acting in both theaters and films. She has played in many popular
Finnish TV-series such as Metsolat (1995), Elämän suola (1996) and
Tahdon asia (2005).
