London-born Dominic Lees studied film first in Poland, where he trained
under Krzysztof Zanussi and Krzysztof Kieslowski. In England, he
finished postgraduate training as a director at the Northern Film
School, making two award-winning shorts, "The Nose" and "Borderland",
which was shown at the Venice Film Festival and won "Best British
Student Film".
Following TV commissions for television and Channel Four Films, Dominic directed his feature debut, "Outlanders", which won five awards at international film festivals and sold internationally.
