- Elfriede Kuzmany was born on September 29, 1915 in Rokitnitz, Bohemia, Austria-Hungary [now Rokytnice v Orlických horách, Czech Republic]. She was an actress, known for Das schwarz-weiß-rote Himmelbett (1962), Kennwort... Reiher (1964) and Sternsteinhof (1976). She was married to Achim Wachsmann. She died on July 17, 2006 in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.

Kuzmany initially studied painting and graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, before moving on to acting training at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She made her stage debut in 1938 and was until 1944 a member of the ensemble of Vienna's Theater in der Josefstadt. She also played character roles in films and television. Latterly, she returned to her old muse and became a successful painter of sketches and water colours.
