Two-time National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) Tag-team Champion with Sergeant Slaughter (1982-1983) and Ivan Koloff (1984).

Although his friends called nicknamed him 'Noodle,' his last name is actually pronounced 'Kerr-NO-dull.'

Brother Wallace began his career as 'Keith Larson' to avoid comparisons to his brother. He later wrestled under the name 'Rocky Kernodle' and formed a tag team with Don.

Held the 'NWA' World tag team championship (Jim Crockett Promotions version) on four occasions with three different partners (Sgt. Slaughter, Cowboy Bob Orton, and Ivan Koloff).

The series of matches in which Kernodle & Slaughter defended the World tag title against Ricky Steamboat & Jay Youngblood was one of the biggest box office successes in wrestling history.
