The premiere date for the second half of Billy the Kid season two has been set. MGM+ has announced the return of the series with the release of a trailer. The first half of season two premiered in October 2023.

Billy the Kid? More like Billy the Crisis Averter!

MGM+ on Wednesday unveiled the key art and official trailer for Billy the Kid Season 2, and it promises to be filled with action.

Seriously, we need the second season right now.

"The epic romantic adventure inspired by the life of America's most infamous outlaw continues in Season Two, as Billy and his allies square off against his oldest friend Jesse Evans and the corrupt powers of the Santa Fe Ring," the streaming service teases.

"When shots are fired, the conflict erupts into the bloody Lincoln County War. Amidst the fighting, Billy will struggle to hang onto his soul—and to the love of his life."

"The other side has the advantage," Billy declares in the action-packed trailer.

"You're farmers," he adds.

"Jesse Evans and his gang are all practiced killers."

Billy the Kid has its second season premiere date set. MGM+ has released a trailer teasing what is ahead in the Western series. For season two, the eight-episode season will be divided into two parts, with part one arriving in October and part two coming in 2024.

Billy the Kid takes on the Santa Fe Ring in season two of MGM+’s Western romantic adventure. The trailer for Billy the Kid‘s second season shows Billy declaring war and willing to do whatever it takes to take down his enemies.

Tom Blyth, soon to be seen in The Hunger Games prequel, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, leads the cast as William H. Bonney. Billy the Kid will be back on TV screens very soon.

MGM+ this week that Billy the Kid Season 2 will debut on Sunday, October 15, at 9 p.m. Et/Pt.

There is a little bit of a catch:

Four episodes of the season will air this year, with the final four being held until 2024.

A reason for the decision has not been revealed, but there's a good chance it has something to do with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Wednesday night at a joint Apple TV+/Gold Derby FYC event, “Ted Lasso’s” top artisans celebrated their 2023 Emmy nominations at the American Society of Cinematographers Clubhouse in Hollywood, CA. Emmy voters in attendance had a blast answering questions at “Ted Lasso Trivia Night” as they dined on short ribs, salmon, potatoes and fresh veggies and imbibed the “Ted Lasso”-inspired Pimm’s Cup alcoholic drinks. For dessert? Chocolate-covered strawberries and yummy cheesecake. The party-goers also re-watched the Season 3 finale, titled “So Long, Farewell.”

Billy the Kid will square off against his oldest friend Jesse Evans and the corrupt powers of the Santa Fe Ring after MGM+ renewed the drama series for a second season.

The network, formerly known as Epix, is returning to the Wild West for a sophomore run of the series, which stars Tom Blyth as the eponymous character.

Inspired by the life of America’s most infamous outlaw, the show launched in April 2022.

It stars Daniel Webber as Evans as well as Eileen O’Higgins, Sean Owen Roberts, Dakota Daulby, Ryan Kennedy and Ian Tracey among its ensemble cast.

The series is produced by MGM+ Studios, formerly known as Epix Studios, and Amazon Studios: Pan-English Scripted TV, the rebranded division run by Rola Bauer, in association with Amblin Television and De Line Pictures.

It comes from creator and writer Michael Hirst, who exec produces alongside Donald De Line, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey.

Warner Bros’ epic Dune won the Live Action Motion Picture prize Saturday at the 58th annual Cinema Audio Society Awards, duplicating its victory earlier this awards season at the Mpse Golden Reels to become the frontrunner in the Sound category at next week’s Oscars.

Dune beat out a field that included No Time to Die, Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Power of the Dog and West Side Story. All but Spider-Man are up for the Sound Oscar this year (Belfast got the nod instead from the Motion Picture Academy).

Other film winners tonight in Cas ceremony, live and in-person at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown, were Summer of Soul, which won the Motion Picture – Documentary Award. Encanto took the Animation prize.

As previously announced, Paul Massey received the Cas Career Achievement Award, and Ridley Scott was honored with the Cas Filmmaker Award.

Massey, unable to attend in-person, accepted the award virtually. However, his mother Bernice, flew in from England to accept his award, alongside his son Sean. “Paul’s father and I knew from a very early age he was going to revolve around music. It’s checkmate on the first of three 2021 Creative Arts Emmy Awards shows, and Saturday was a huge evening for “The Queen’s Gambit.” The excellent Netflix limited series led by Anya Taylor-Joy has already won seven 2021 Emmys, technically (and in mostly technical categories).

Michael Collins, the astronaut who piloted the Apollo 11 spacecraft Columbia as Neil Armstrong and Col. Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon, died of cancer today. He was 90.

His family, which includes daughter Kate Collins, a longtime star of the ABC soap opera All My Children, announced the death on Twitter.

Yesterday we dropped our Fall TV Preview, featuring twenty-five shows that are worth putting on your radar, but that’s just scratching the surface. There are plenty of options to choose from, and one to certainly keep an eye out for is “Tin Star,” which is crossing the pond from the U.K. to land on U.S. shores.

Led by Christina Hendricks and Tim Roth, with Abigail Lawrie, Oliver Coopersmith, Christopher Heyerdahl, Stephen Walters, Ian Puleston-Davies, Roark Critchlow, Sarah Podemski, Ryan Kennedy, and Kevin Hanchard in support, the series follows a former UK cop who relocates with his family to the Canadian Rockies to where he once again takes the shield, only to find himself up against some formidable, criminal opposition.

Recently, CBS delivered the new,official synopsis/spoilers for their upcoming "NCIS" episode 6 of season 13. The episode is entitled, "Viral," and it turns out that we're going to see some pretty interesting stuff take place as a possible copy cat serial killer, prompts the NCIS crew to go into investigative action, and more. "Vampire Diaries" fans are used to seeing Sara Canning play the clueless but lovably snarky Jenna Sommers, one of the last to know about the town's vampire problem. In Saturday's Hallmark Movie Channel original, "Hannah's Law," we'll see a whole new side to Canning as the titular Hannah Beaumont, a bounty hunter on a quest for vengeance in the Old West.

As a young girl growing up in Texas, Hannah watches from a hiding place as outlaws led by Frank McMurphy (John Pyper-Ferguson) slaughter her family to steal their horses. She's sent to an orphanage, and later meets Danny Glover's Isom Dart, who mentors her in the art of bounty hunting.

Sanctuary, Arctic Air, Endgame and Blackstone are up for Best Dramatic Series and all five films nominated for Best Feature Length Drama have familiar faces in them: Daydream Nation (Luke Camilleri, Calum Worthy, Genevieve Buechner), Doppelgänger Paul (Ben Cotton), Marilyn (Ryan Robbins), Sisters & Brothers (Kacey Rohl, Michael Eklund, Ben Cotton), and The Odds (Calum Worthy).
