For the first 31 years of his life Frank Kennedy was in the military in
one form or another, from the United States Cavalry in the late 1930's
the Air Corp in World War II, the Air Reserve until 1951. Recalled for
the Korean Conflict he stayed in until he retired in 1966 as a Lt.
Colonel after serving in Viet Nam. Along the way he also became an Air
Force Senior parachutist with 43 jumps, three amphibious landings in
the Pacific. Frank was also honored with a number of awards &
decorations including the Silver Star, three Bronze Stars and six Air
Medals A longtime member of the Screen Actors Guild, Frank formed
Tucson Central Casting company in1967. Working occasionally as an
actor, he supplied hundred of feature films, television movies,
television series, commercials and educational films with extras and
locations until his death in 1991. Frank was particularly proud of his
work with many icons of the business, including Paul Newman, John
Wayne, Lee Marvin, Elizabeth Taylor, John Huston, Burt Kennedy, Frank
Sinatra, George Kennedy, Clint Eastwood and William Holden, with who he
attended Air Cadet School in the early days of WW II.
