Marin Kanter
- Actress
Marin Kanter was a very cute, petite and captivating brunette actress
who only appeared in a small handful of movies during her regrettably
fleeting career. She was born on February 20, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio
to banker Joseph and singer/songwriter Nancy. Marin made her film debut
as Diane Lane's reluctant sister
Tracy in the delightfully raucous teen rock'n'roll cult favorite
Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains (1982).
Kanter was likewise fine as Danny Kaye's
sweet daughter Janet Feldman in the acclaimed made-for-TV feature
Skokie (1981) and once again
excellent as Robert Urich's bitter
estranged juvenile delinquent daughter Mackenzie in the offbeat science
fiction conspiracy thriller
Endangered Species (1982).
Moreover, Marin gave a simply stunning performance as tempting
rebellious underage adolescent tramp Telena in the marvelously brooding
and stylish period 50s biker mood piece
The Loveless (1981). Alas, following
her brief turn as a tiny nun in the comedy "Too Much Sun" Marin Kanter
called it a day as an actress.
