Josef Kábrt was born on 14 October 1920 in Lomnice nad Popelkou, Czechoslovakia [now Czech Republic]. He was a director and writer, known for Fantastic Planet (1973), Sisyfos (1965) and The Spectre's Bride (1978). He died on 7 February 1989 in Prague, Czechoslovakia [now Czech Republic].
