How many movies does it take to tell a story about high school senior Elle Evans (Joey King) trying to decide whether to honor her friendship to lifelong bestie Lee (Joel Courtney) or break the “rules” by dating his smoking-hot older brother, Noah (Jacob Elordi)? If you’re Netflix — the content factory that milked “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” for its full trilogy potential — then the answer is three, obviously. Except the makers of “The Kissing Booth” didn’t have a solid book series to fall back on, nor a compelling romantic rivalry to stretch across multiple movies.
What they did have was the data to suggest audiences wanted more. I too wanted more — less of the same, but a little substance for a change. How great would it be if Elle found enough self-respect to pursue her own dreams, rather than deciding her future according to which...

Prepare to kiss another beloved Netflix franchise goodbye. The streamer has released the official trailer The Kissing Booth 3, which brings the rom-com trilogy to a dramatic conclusion when it drops on Wednesday, Aug. 11.
“It’s the summer before Elle heads to college, and she’s facing the hardest decision of her life: whether to move across the country with her dreamy boyfriend Noah or fulfill her lifelong promise to go to college with her Bff Lee,” reads the official synopsis. “Whose heart will Elle break as The Kissing Booth trilogy comes to an end?”

The Kissing Booth landed on Netflix in the Summer of 2018 to fanfare from those it was aimed at, with many enjoying it’s simplistically sweet high-school love story and characters who had a chemistry that pushed it up a touch. I mean… I’m a 30-something guy who tends to veer towards Amelie, Before Sunrise or True Romance for my love stories, so it wasn’t really my bag, but I didn’t expect it to be. I’m not the general demographic for The Kissing Booth. I’m okay with that. So… when the sequel hatched from the egg of uncertainty a week or two back, and my better-half decided...

The Dinosaur Project is the (fictional) story of a missing Congo expedition and the findings of the Cryptozoological Society to audiences around the world. The film features stunning recovered footage of creatures thought to be extinct for 65 million years. As the search for the missing crew continues, questions remain about the source of the missing footage and the manner in which it was discovered.
Before I go any further, heres the now-defacto disclaimer: This is a found-footage movie. And you all know how much I despise the sub-genre. When its done wrong its usually done Very wrong and when its good Well I cant remember the last time it was! What also works against The Dinosaur Project is that you just cant help but compare it to Jurassic Park...

For the most part, found-footage films have largely been couched in the horror genre, and it’s always nice to see when they take a new direction.
Not only were we treated to the massive success story Chronicle this year, we’ve still got The Dinosaur Project to look forward to in just a few weeks’ time.
The trailer we saw earlier this month was more than enough to take us in, and now we’ve been sent over the new UK quad poster ahead of its release next month.

A new and admittedly less interesting exclusive quad poster for new British adventure thriller 'The Dinosaur Project' has arrived. It's not a patch on the previous quad, featured below, but just another reminder that the cool looking feature is set to hit UK theatres next month. The Sid Bennett helmed horror is somewhere between 'Jurassic Park' and 'Monsters' and uses the found footage style to showcase a small expedition group who discover a lost prehistoric world. It stars gorgeous blonde Brit Natasha Loring ('Beaver Falls') as well as Matt Kane ('The Cut'), Peter Brooke ('Wrong Turn 5''), Richard Dillane ('Argo') and Stephen Jennings ('Starship Troopers 3: Marauder'). Check out the new quad, old quad and previous trailer from the flick below....

Studio Canal have released a new trailer for their movie, The Dinosaur Project. Not sure what to make of it but I do know that i’d quite like to watch out when it’s release August 10th. It stars Natasha Loring, Richard Dillane, Matt Kane, Peter Brooke, Stephen Jennings and is directed by Sid Bennett. It does seem odd that no one has done any other big budget dinosaur movie since Jurassic Park. Not that this looks especially big budget compared to the Jurassic Park franchise but it looks pretty impressive nonetheless.
