Uncle of Mark A. Reyes.

His other production company, Largavista, is line producing independent movies.

Set up his production company, Available Light, which line produced movies like Larger Than Life (2001) (for _Jeffrey Jeturian_) and Live Show (2000), both for Regal Films. He set up the company with Manny Castañeda and the late Don Escudero.

Started out as a professor of Literature in De La Salle University until 1987. He was an Associate Professor and Chairman of the Philippine Studies Department when he quit the academe to join the entertainment world. Now, he is teaching part time again.
