Sándor Hunyady(1890-1942)

Hungarian writer Sándor Hunyady was born in Kolozsvár in 1890 as a son
of popular writer Sándor Bródy. His mother was actress Margit Hunyady. After
finishing high school in Budapest, Hunyady started his career as a
journalist. He wrote many famous short stories and novels. Several of
those were made into movies, mostly in the 30s. The most popular
adaptations are Bakaruhában (1957) and A Very Moral Night (1977). The most recent film based on his
short story was a TV movie, _A tigriscsíkos kutya (2001) (TV)_, directed by
Péter Bacsó).
