Rediscovering Ginny

A thoughtfully crafted and realistic story of a young man and the girl he always idealized and hoped to get close to. Filmed in Milwaukee, Wi. and Chicago this low-budget Indy film, written by the Director, is based on true events. As the tale is told through narrative and flashback, elements of denial, regret, hopefulness and optimism are explored. Not the generic 'coming of age' tale nor an after school anti-drug vehicle, "Rediscovering Ginny" addresses powerful issues like family dysfunction, despair, naivety and insurmountable cynicism. Through flashbacks and conversational dialog, the reasons our characters have found themselves in their circumstances are revealed. Strong performances are put in by a mostly student cast.
