Inka Winter, an Adult filmmaker dedicated to making female-friendly movies, does a fine job with "Olivia", perhaps breaking new ground in eroticism with its explicit sex yet careful avoidance of the vulgar (and commercial) aspects of porn- no cum shots, genital closeups or misogyny here. The explicit sex scenes are romantic and concern a woman's needs for pleasure, not a guy getting off.
Fetish specialist (new to acting) Jet Setting Jasmine stars as a successful writer of erotic novels who fears she's entering menopause and is suffering writer's block on her new novel. She decides some sexual experimentation and opening herself up to new experiences will help, and it does.
Another unusual aspect of the production is that all the lead (and sexual) roles go to Black talent, while plenty of other parts include white performers, including transsexual stars Ariel Demure and Zariah Aura in "neutral" roles (they do not portray trans-females). Besides Jasmine's story, we get to see the heroine and hero of the novel she's writing have a sex scene, too, featuring the star of Winter's successful period piece miniseries "Ashford Manor": Nicole Kitt.
It's a classy production brimming with positivity, and the lighting favors sensual sex scenes. Unlike nearly all porn being made recently, it would likely be amenable to a softcore cut that could be shown on pay-cable.
