The Ninja Gaiden series Ninja is a media franchise based on action video games by Tecmo featuring the ninja Ryu Hayabusa as its protagonist. The series was originally known as Ninja Ryukenden (Ninja Ryukenden, lit. "Legend of the Ninja Dragon Sword") in Japan.
