Ellen: [Ellen gets pulled over by a police officer] Hello, officer, was I speeding?
Officer Ritts: No, ma'am. Can I see your license and registration, please?
[Ellen gives it to the officer]
Ellen: Did I run a stop sign?
Officer Ritts: No. You're tags are expired.
Ellen: Oh,
[she scoffs]
Ellen: wow, my husband usually takes care of that. Um, he must've forgotten. He worked for the department, Mike Plainview, Do you know him?
Officer Ritts: No, I don't believe I do.
[she is writing Ellen a ticket]
Ellen: Do you seriously have to write me a ticket?
Officer Ritts: Yeah, they're really cracking down on us so, we have to go through the motions.
[the officer gives Ellen the ticket]
Ellen: I've never been pulled over in my life.
Officer Ritts: Take care of it in fourteen days, it wont be a problem. Drive safely, now.
Ellen: Thank you?
