This will not win any academy awards, but it doesn't need to. It is a post-apocalyptic movie that could have benefited from more story development and a better military adviser. That said, for an afternoon escape it is as good as the film that scored much higher with critics, liken "Civil War." It is clear that the film has. Strong Christian theme be played out, and it is in many ways a prequel to what is offered up in the end, the beginning of a series. The ad at the end, likely a bit inappropriate after paying for a ticket, is the way of the future anyway. It is pretty rare now for a film to be offered in one complete package. From Dune, to Hobbit, to many other films, it seems like it is all about making you pay multiple times for the same story.
