Troubled street-camera voyeur shoots troubled woman, and they hook up to come to terms with their past lives in a bloody killing spree.
Hmmm. Tough to describe. It's low budget, from "one man band productions", and the camera work is not up to much. If there's one story that should be strict about the subjective POV this is it, but the rule is broken early on when a guy chases the camera man, and eventually the POV is mostly abandoned. But the editing is quick, and decent pace is maintained throughout.
The dialogue can be clunky, but I think the actors got to grips with it, and the lead actors turned out quite interesting to me, especially the female lead who does crazed cruelty well. The guy was amusing.
The story is melodramatic, and horror fans will not be impressed with the tameness of gore and nudity. Music is organ grimness throughout, but it can't match the atmosphere of '70s New York exploitation - when the city was truly dangerous and sleazy.
Overall it's an engaging watch because of its pace and the interest the actors generated. But I've seen better story telling on this kind of budget, and the failure to get down and dirty made it miss the big, bright target over the heart of every horror fan.
