I just watched this the other day (it's out to rent in Germany) and have to admit, I was really positively surprised. I didn't expect the movie to be able to walk the fine line between comedy and action movie. It is quite difficult to be funny, but also strong (brutal) and still be convincing. This movie does a fine job being silly, but also a good job being adult (it has one of the funniest "sex" scenes I've seen, with nudity in it too).
You could say that I have a soft spot for french action comedy and I wish some US movies could balance their comedy and action ratio accordingly. Especially when it comes to remakes .. And you guessed it! According to IMDb this will be remade (though I can't imagine why it would take at least 2 years to release/make that remake?!).
