Cold Blood Canyon

I had initially no expectations to this movie, given the fact that I had never heard about it prior to finding it by sheer luck, and after having read the synopsis, or because of the fact that I knew of no one in the movie.

The story is about a family that purchase an acclaimed haunted house in Beverly Hills for a bargain price. Something is awry in the house, and things escalate when the young girl Danielle (played by Lulu Brud) is left home alone as her mother and step father have to go to Palm Springs. The apparition that is haunting the house becomes aggressive and dangerous.

Story-wise, then "Paranormal Apparition" wasn't overly enjoyable. Perhaps it was because the effects in the movie were not that great, or because there wasn't anything scary in the entire movie.

As for the acting, well it was alright, although a bit wooden and forced at times.

I don't really get the movie title, isn't it kind of redundant? I mean, an apparition in itself is part of the paranormal realm, so why add the word 'paranormal' to the title?

The movie failed to keep my attention to the screen, and I soon found myself sitting with my phone in hand and browsing through stuff on the phone, rather than paying attention to the screen. And I must admit that I gave up before reaching the end of the movie. It just wasn't appealing or interesting enough.

Overall, then "Paranormal Apparition" is not a particularly impressive movie. And if you enjoy horror movies or ghost movies, then your time is perhaps better spent elsewhere watching a different movie.
