When LaKeith Stanfield boards the train to free Idris Elba, the train company's name on the side of the train is C.A. Boseman, a tribute to Chadwick Aaron Boseman, who sadly passed away in August 2020.

Blooper
After Rufus is released from his cell on the train, he orders the gang to kill all the soldiers in the train car, but one. He then walks towards the exit while men and shell casings fall all around him.

All of the weapons fired in the train car are revolvers. They do not eject casings automatically when fired. Some of the weapons appeared to be cap & ball pistols, which have no casings at all.

Once Upon a Time in Black America...

A wild bunch of good, bad and ugly outlaws fight over a few more than a fistful of dollars with true grit, before, after and during high noon, saddles ablaze with nothing to dodge, magnificent as many times as you like, wherever you decide to search, on any number of trains to Yuma, along as many red rivers as you can trace, stagecoaches at the ready, with Winchesters drawn, pistols locked, cocked and loaded.

Great performances and direction in a genre that had lost its momentum and mojo over the years, but as seen here, can still surprise and engage, with not too much variation from an overcooked theme.
