This documentary brought back memories of this case. So many years have passed and I had forgotten how truly disgusting Steve Powell was. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw he had saved Susan's used tampons!!!!! This man is truly depraved. His kids really stood no chance at life. Especially the males who tend to identify with their fathers.
I also want to mention the 911 operator when the social worker called. His behaviour and responses really didn't age well. It felt like he was very dismissive while talking to her. She was clearly in fear for the children's lives and the operator simply said they will get there when they get there like the children's lives were not a priority. Disgusting response!!!
I have to mention Detective Ellis Maxwell as well. It felt like he was very invested in this case. I think he really did try to do right by the Cox family. There will always be blame but I think his heart was in the right place.
The older sister is the only sensible one of the bunch. I'm sure she did the happy dance when she found out her father died. Alina is brain washed for sure. Poor girl. It would have been good if either Josh or his pyscho dad left a note stating where she is but that would have been too decent for either when of them.....
All in all I thought this documentary was decent.
