Bootsie: I know people. I've owned and operated my own beauty shop for twenty-six years. I'm a successful businesswoman.

Wesley Hodges: [seated at the kitchen table, the two women standing on either side of him] Then why don't you help out your daughter-in-law?

Bootsie: Because I don't have two cents!

Millicent Torkelson: Bootsie's beauty shop is two sinks and a hair dryer in a little room behind her kitchen.

Bootsie: It's small, but it's legitimate.

Millicent Torkelson: I got a legitimate business, too.

Bootsie: [getting snippy] And what is the name of your legitimate business?

Millicent Torkelson: I don't have a name yet.

Wesley Hodges: Ladies, if you'll excuse me, I don't believe I could be more uncomfortable.

[he gets up to leave]

Bootsie: You sit down, Hodges.

[he obediently sits back down]

Wesley Hodges: Perhaps I could.
