"Gatas & tuercas" was released in 2005 by Channel 13, the series is about a group of mechanics. Although that's the story in general, what I liked most was the main love story starring Carolina Varleta (Olivia / Miranda) and Diego Muñoz (Joaquin / Jote), the couple was excellent, put them together it was a very good decision, they achieved a very high on-screen chemistry, he was a womanizer and she a shy woman who unwittingly becomes a famous radio announcer. They had already been a couple earlier in the mini-series "Más que amigos" and had shared roles in "Machos" and "Tentación" but here they looked very well together and managed to highlight a lot, I think so far have been one of the best pairs of Chilean TV. From here Carolina Varleta started becoming one of my favorite actresses.
Besides them I want to highlight the performance of the spectacular Paola Giannini, that although at first her character was not outstanding, with spent chapters became one of the most important personages, the villain of the story, but at the same time loved by all in an excellent performance. I also emphasize the interpretation of Berta Lasala as Melany, the gracious maid, in my opinion this is the best role of her so far.
The series in general has that touch of Brazilian productions, good cast, good story, funny and not boring at any time, with the special touch of the director Herval Abreu (one of the few good directors - or the only - that exist in the Chilean TV).
