Zeke

"Zeke" was a delight to watch. Expert direction, lovely cinematography, strong writing, and some seriously slick editing made it a mini masterpiece. Comedy is difficult to pull off correctly; the timing has to be perfect. "Zeke" delivers beautifully, if a bit disturbingly. The animal handling was also pretty amazing. I can't even get my cat to stay still long enough to take a decent photo most days. I look forward to seeing more from Buning in the future. I don't think this should get 'translated' into a longer format. A lot of its genius is how well it uses the tight time-frame to accelerate and emphasize the story. My opinion: Don't fix things that ain't broke. I'm sure Zeke would agree wholeheartedly.
