The Weather Man - L'uomo delle previsioni

This film is about how unfortunate the life of Nicolas Cage's character is. His is getting divorced, having bad days at work, getting things thrown at him by pedestrians etc. Yes Being a comedy, this film tries very hard to be funny. However, there is simply nothing funny about it. The film drags on without keeping the viewer interested. The dialog is often vulgar and tasteless. The scriptwriters tried so hard to make references to the weather, but they simply tried too hard and it became uneasy and awkward. The whole film seems to be an extended advertisement of the fast food stores. I was offended by the portrayal of a teen girls' vagina through her clothing. That's almost child porn, for Christ's sake!! The only redeeming feature is that Hope Davis was very good in her role as Nicola Cage's wife. That was the only thing I enjoyed in the film. Everything else was a waste of time.
