You expect to watch another "funny" movie from Efstratiadis, but this is probably the most uncomfortable family movie ever in Greek cinema.
Marika represents every low and middle class family woman in Greece, not just of the 80s but until now unfortunately.
This is the kind of movie that should be watched by all kids at school, should be a case study, a homework - to learn to recognize and appreciate family roles and finally open their eyes and minds, and their mouths to say "thank you" and "how can I help you".
All actors are very good in this movie, but especially the two leading actors are exceptional, because they are like ordinary people - no charm, no playing heroes.
Not a feel good Efstratiadis movie, not exactly a drama either, but a very good realistic and uncomfortable depiction of Greek family. It is a very solid 8/10 and one of the best in modern Greek cinema.
