What does U.N.I.T. do when Doctor Who is not around? According to the Who series, U.N.I.T. has been around since at least the 1970's, is staffed by heavily armed members of the international militarizes and has a headquarters in Geneva along with bases all over the world. This short series focuses on one incidence, a breakout of a new Auton nest on Earth, repelled by a special U.N.I.T. scientific response team and soldiers.

These shows provided a solid premise for series that was never to be. I strongly recommend it to anyone interested in the "deep history" of the Doctor Who universe.
