Catch-All Comedy With Chewing Tobacco

It's goings-on at the beach, where Ben Turpin is the lifeguard who gets all the cute girls. It's a collection of typical comic sequences, like the guys who get into fights, guys who fish from the pier, and lots of pretty girls.

Sennett was pretty much credited with inventing the Bathing Beauties, although the other comedy producers wasted no time in making sure they had lots of cuties on the payroll who would happily pose in beach wear. Marie Prevost is at the top of the list, but there are plenty of others here. Although clearly Turpin is the leading comic here, it's an ensemble affair, and typically amusing for the studio.
