This bottom of the barrel film slag disappoints and confuses at every possible chance, from the horrendous bland plot, campy and stupid villains, effects and generally unlikable protagonists matched with abysmal writing this films starts slow and only looses moment as the audience is fighting to retain any interest. The story follows young Max played by the charming as always Toran Caudell who becomes lost on a trip to Peru and finds himself in danger as he tries to find his way back with the help of the native Juanito played to sweet perfection by Victor Rojas whose performance resonates the same raw passion for film you would expect after seeing the iconic It Could Happen to You. And despite these film juggernauts the movie still shuffles along at a snails pace and is peppered with the painfully poor performances of the rest of the cast whose lack of enthusiasm just kills any immersion and predictable sometimes cringe-worthy plot filled with close calls and lame coincidences. The films only real strong point is the beautiful and sometimes jarringly serene setting. I would advise you skip this film unless you are a huge scenery buff and even then there are various other, better films that I'm sure will leave a better taste in your mouth, 4 out of 10
