I am in the process of inserting reviews of the films I've seen that so far lack one, this film was shown at the NFT in London (UK) May 11th 2012, my rating is 3/7, review follows...
Sid Field is a cloakroom attendant who foils a Nazi spy ring, this seldom seen film is of interest as one of the few chances to see the work of Sid Field one of the most popular English comedians of his day, the film itself is an unremarkable farce, the only other cast or crew member I recognise is the editor, Terence Fisher who went on to fame as a director of Hammer Horror.
The other two chances to see Field on film are.. "London Town" (1946) which I have yet to see, and... "Cardboard Cavalier" (1949) a total flop that ended the directing career of the great Walter Forde, my rating 1/7.
