There are many references to Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" in the movie: the main character's name is Darcy Fitzwilliam, which is the reverse of the main love interest of the book, Mr. (Fitzwilliam) Darcy. Also, the town in which the movie takes place is Pemberley, a clear nod to Mr. Darcy's country estate.

Blooper
At about 1:09, the exterior shot of the house shows that it is literally "blanketed" in snow...fake snow. The wind blows and noticeably flips up two sections of fabric that are hanging over the edge of the second story roofline. Right when it happens, the camera angle very abruptly shifts down to the first level.

What?

Having recently read the book Pride & Prejudice & Mistletoe, I was expecting this movie to be a film version of the book. But other than the names of the characters and Darcy's occupation, the book and movie really had nothing in common.I'm not sure why the plot was changed from the book but it didn't seem to improve the story. I started watching it and just turned it off rather quickly. It was just bad.
