Co-leads Drake Delucca, Mayna Duarte, and Andrew Enriquez met as alumni of the United States Army Soldier Show. The Soldier Show, a Broadway-styled touring show with an all-Army cast, was founded by Irving Berlin in 1917. "God Bless America" was written for the very first Soldier Show during WWII. A poster from the WWII version of the show, "This is Army" can be seen in "The Day the Stars Turned Red" on the fallout shelter wall. Director of Photography Amy Kosby was the longtime video producer for modern versions of the Soldier Show.

Blooper
While the film is set in the 1950s, Major Banks and Capt. Carlson both wear U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery branch insignia. The ADA was only granted its own insignia Dec. 1, 1968.
