(before 22 July 1979) Jerry Lewis stopped production on the movie he was directing in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida by reading a letter to the cast saying the producer involved left because he ran out of the money and there was no money to finance the picture. Lucky if they were able to have their travel expenses covered were the stars assembled, including Red Buttons, Danny Thomas, Sylvia Sydney, Vince Gardenia, James Darren and others.
