At WrestleMania XL (2024), Martinez cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase against newly crowned WWE World Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre to become champion. This would make him the second singles wrestler of Puerto Rican origin to win a world title in WWE since Pedro Morales in 1971.
