She is the author of four published books: "How the Universe Got Its Spots: Diary of a Finite Time in a Finite Space" (nonfiction) and "A Madman Dreams of Turing Machines" (a novel). The latter won the PEN/Bingham Fellowship for Writers. Her most recent books are "Black Hole Blues" and "Black Hole Survival Guide.".
